1. Project Monitor Positions – Full-Time & Part-Time
Salary: $18.50-19.50/hr + Paid Training
Full-time positions offer potential benefits after the 1st year.
Duties:
– Collecting air samples
– Overseeing asbestos abatement contractor activities on-site
– Completing daily project documentation and paperwork
– Conducting visual inspections of project work areas
– Communication with contractors and regulatory agencies on-site
– Travel throughout the WNY area required
– Potential for cross-training for additional certifications/sampling based on experience and job performance
Requirements:
– Valid NYS driver’s license and dependable vehicle
– Availability from 7 am-5 pm, with varying hours, occasional evenings/weekends/overtime
– Ability to pass OSHA physical/respirator test
– Dependable, punctual, and works well independently
– Strong record-keeping, organizational, and communication skills
– HS Diploma required; some college preferred
– 2 years experience in construction/abatement/environmental field preferred
– NYSDOL Project Monitor Certification preferred but not required, will train
2. Lab Tech – Full-Time Position
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Essential Job Duties:
– Prepare and analyze slides, generating results reports
– Occasional weekend work may be required
– Produce analytical work in accordance with SOPs and approved methods
– Perform routine analyses, including quality control samples and calibration checks
– Provide support to managerial and consulting staff through assessments, reports, project organization, and data entry
Qualifications:
– Completed microbiology college-level course; BS in a life science or environmental sciences preferred
– 1 year of PCM (Phase Contrast Microscopy) experience preferred (not required – will train)
– Experience in counting and/or identifying structures under a microscope
– Experience in environmental biology, microbiology, or fungal spore identification is a plus
– Excellent PC skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
– Excellent attention to detail
